Story of ‘Imprints from Molly’
Molly graduated from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a degree in Theatre Practice, specialising in Prop Making.
She has worked in several film and theatre settings, mastering many prop-making skills. Floristry and horticulture have been a longstanding family tradition, beginning with her great-grandparents and grandparents, who owned a plant nursery in South East London. Her mum worked at the nursery and trained as a florist whilst working there. Shortly after graduating from university, Molly followed in her family's footsteps and began working as a florist in events and weddings.
During this time, she became increasingly aware of the amount of waste within the floristry industry—something she had always felt uneasy about. Beautiful flowers, often used for just a single day, are frequently discarded once an event ends.
Wanting to challenge this cycle, Molly began looking for ways to give these flowers a second life. By combining her expertise in prop making with her love for floristry, last year Imprints from Molly was created. With these two skills, she now creates timeless pieces of art, capturing special moments with flowers..
